New shoes & a new brand

I think it’s time I buy another pair of shoes, the ones I have are still in good condition but they’re getting old. The black colors are faded the soles are scoffed, and the shoelaces…are doing pretty well actually!

All my shoes are Vans, it’s my favorite brand and I like their simplicity. But wearing skate shoes all the time when you’re not skating is…probably not fashionable.

It’s going to be a hassle finding another brand to wear, ugh.

So far I’ve found Macbeth, a brand from Southern Californian. It was founded by Tom deLonge (member of Blink 182 and Angels and Airwaves). They look nice, they’re similar to Vans (big surprise) and they’re not so skateish.

NIKE SB by Stefan Janoski

Janoski’s shoe designs are clean, and modern. And some of the best looking shoes Nike has to offer. However, I feel that they are just another version of the traditional Vans. Without the logo its hard to notice the difference, This design in this color or in black look the best,

FIND OF THE DAY

Element Hampton Boot- Wow this a awesome boot right here! It’s simple, elegant and overall amazing. And I can’t believe it’s made by Element, one of my favorite shoe brands for guys. However, there are two details that I wasn’t too crazy about.

-the shoelaces are not that great. I would replace them with A nicer color maybe black, brown or better yet a solid gold color.
-the sole is another thing, I don’t like the speckles, it would look better in all white.

Why don’t you try a pair of Toms shoes for summer?

Lightweight, slip on, canvas shoes based on the Argentine alpargata design. They are extremely comfortable, specially in the hot summer months. Usually worn without socks. And because they are made with canvas, it’s easy to customize them if you’re and artist.

Selecting a shoe style for guys>

Regular fit jeans don’t go too well with toms’ shoes. Neither do skinny jeans, half the time. The best choice of jeans to wear with them are slim fit. Although, they go well with any type of shorts.

Other things-
-A solid color is best, no really, solid colors look better on guys.
-wear no show socks and tuck them into the shoe. If you wear them without some kind of sock, they will start to smell.
-the toms website is not the only place to buy the shoes, there are many online retailers. Think eBay, amazon, zappos
